In spite of how well known loving kindness and compassion are in Buddhist teachings, the 4 Brahmaviharas of Equanimity, Emphatic Joy, Good Will, and Compassion remain a challenging and elusive set of teachings.
Come join on us on Saturday December 9th from 9 am to 5 pm
@ The Portland Dhamma Center for a full day of meditation, contemplation and Dharma discussion. We will be exploring how these heart practices fit in with the rest of the 8-fold path, the intimate connection they have with the 4 Noble Truths and how to successfully use these practcies as the foundation for the cultivation of Jhana.
